It's official.. I'm now the proud owner of a Bachelor of Arts degree, after graduating from Ballyfermot College last week! It was a great 2 years (with highs and lows) and to be honest I couldn't have done it without the support of my family and friends. Thank you Amigos!

Work Experience

Over the summer I had a short little work experience stint at The Bridge, working with Jam Media on a [Top Secret] project. I can't go into detail about it because it's still in development. During the two weeks I worked as a character designer, developing new concepts and designs. These are a few of the designs I came up with. It was a great project to work on and a valuable experience.

Skull N' Crossbones

Quick skull n' crossbones sketch and concept. I'm trying to keep my blog update daily, so I'm aiming to produce a sketch or piece of artwork a day!

Jack O'Lantern Sketch

Bit late posting this one. It's a sketch of a Jack O' Lantern trying to survive the aftermath of Halloween as the birds come to peck out his pumpkin-filled head... THEY'RE COMING!!

The Return of FRANKENDIME!

Finally, "It's alive"!! This Frankendime piece is fresh off the creative table. It took a few hours to ink and nail down a colour pallet that I was happy with. I wanted to stick to the classic Frankenstein style movie posters and decided to go with an eerie green glow. The electric bolts and sparks where more of a trial and error process, I needed to lay out different variations to see which one worked, and which didn't. I enjoyed colouring this piece, now I need a new concept to sink my teeth into...

Good Day, Sir Skellington!

This piece started out as a random character sketch. Originally he was a flesh fill chap, but I thought the idea of a living skeleton had more humor to it. I had been itching to create an old Victorian-style character for awhile. I really like this concept so I'm sure I'll delve back into at some stage.

The Creature revisited!

Behold "The Creature from Beyond" in all its drool and glory. This piece took a bit of time to get right. I added some textures and filters in Photoshop to see which colour palettes worked best, all in all I'm pretty happy with the final piece.

The Creature from Beyond!!

Its starting to become a bit of an obsession now, but I just seem drawn to the classic horror themes. The idea of a swamp/sea creature lurking around just seems so cool. Like many other stuff, its a WORK IN PROGRESS!!..

Frankendime

Frankendime, "The Money Making Monster".. A Frankenstein concept with a modern twist! I've been busy with work the past few months but I have a bit of down time now, so hopefully I get around to pushing this concept a little further.

...Keep your coin-filled eyes peeled, more artwork coming soon!
